Randy White Weeping after announcing He & Paula's Divorce

The Bishop or Pastor (whatever), couldn't muster up a word to say to his followers who seemed overwhelmed with emotion towards their controversial leader. He was finally escorted off the stage by the other ministers who were praying over him while he was crying. At one point the host of the online tv program who usually closes out the show seemed to ask Randy if he wanted to say something to the congregation and he seemed to say, no! Here is a trustworthy saying: If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer,he desires a noble task. Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, selfcontrolled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him with proper respect. (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God's church?

I believe this is a huge wake up call to all ministers. If we minister to God's people, whether great or small we must keep our foundation strong. It is so easy to get distracted with situations and problems, or just life, and neglect the weighty matters. Let us not judge the White's, pray for them to be restored, but also take account of our own lives and marriages. Whether in the ministry or not...we cannot allow our covenants and hearts to go uncultivated for two long a season.

God said to me, " I hear a lot of prayers with "I, myself, and me" and not a lot of prayers with, "ours, us and we"

Let us once again pray as the Lord taught us...."Forgive US our debts, as we forgive OUR debtors."

I agree with Cindi. Wow! Being new to the faith this has been a real shock! This has shown me that we shouldn't put our trust and hope into man/woman. Although they are Pastor's they are still human. It's the Lord who we truly desire to seek and know. As Christian's I think we should be lifting Paul and Randy White up in prayer. God see's and knows all. He knows their hearts and what they are going through. I don't believe they should get a divorce and I know that's not what the Lord wants so I will continue to pray for them. We have NO right to judge ANYONE! I don't know how the church works but, I think they should step down, get there marriage together, seek the Lord and wait on Him to restore them.

God is looking for a true friend that will "seek Him First and His kingdom." We need to Seek His face not His hands. Oh how the Lord must cry when we ignore Him and seek after things... To be in His presence for just Him and not a list of selfish wants is such a wonderful reward.

Lord let us be your close friend and not use you. Let us not prostitute our gift for fame or fortune. Let us take on the role of a servant and serve the body of Christ. You are looking for a meek and humble heart that will take up the towel to wash the feet of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Let us be that people.
